Sanguinaria canadensis / Bloodroot

$18.00

Bloodroot blooms early with a large, poppy-family flower of pure white with rich yellow inside. Wide, low foliage lasts all season and has a unique, hand-like shape. Single plants form large clumps. When planted in a mass, bloodroot will spread by seed.

Sometimes grouped with spring ephemerals – bloodroot does bloom early. However, true ephemerals go completely dormant after blooming, however bloodroot foliage thrives through the autumn.
