Rubus odoratus / Purple-flowering raspberry


A thornless raspberry species, with large, vaguely star-shaped velvety leaves and stunning rose-like blooms. Native to moist slopes, especially in mountainous areas. Its fruits are sweet and flavorful, though drier and seedier compared to red raspberry.


Height: 3′ – 6′        Blooms: June – August Fruit: July – August

Habitat: Moist, well-drained. Part sun to part shade.
