Rubus odoratus / Purple-flowering raspberry


A thornless native raspberry species, with large, velvety, star-shaped leaves and stunning rose-like blooms. Native to moist slopes, especially in mountainous areas and shaded edges. Sweet and flavorful fruit, though drier and seedier compared to red raspberry.

Height: 3′ – 6′        Blooms: June, July, August  Fruits: July, August

Siting: Average to moist/well-drained, part sun to shade
