A spreading, multi-stemmed shrub with profuse white blooms along the branches. Bears delicious fruits and is native to the sandy soils of the northeastern coastal plain. Versatile in gardens.

Host plant powerhouse! Beach Plum (American Plum and Chokecherry, too) host at least four butterflies and dozens of moths. Butterflies include Coral Hairstreak, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Red Spotted Purple, and Striped Hairstreak.

A minimum of two plants are recommended for cross-pollination and fruiting.
