A fantastically garbed Monarda native to sandy soils, this is a short-lived, reseeding perennial. Like its relatives, it is immensely attractive to pollinators and bears a similar aromatic bouquet as wild bergamot and bee balm. It grows in average to dry soils and is drought tolerant.

Also known as spotted bee balm.
