Liatris spicata / Blazing Star


With showy spikes of purple blooms, Blazing Star makes a great vertical element in a wildflower garden or meadow, massed among grasses or other wildflowers.

Found infrequently in our region, in rich, moist soils. A terrific attractor of butterflies and other pollinators.
