Hibiscus moscheutos / Swamp Rose Mallow


A glorious native hibiscus with enormous five-petaled blooms in combinations of white, red, and pink. This tall wildflower rises from stocky stems in large clusters. Native to marshes, wet floodplains, and other rich, moist habitats, but adaptable in gardens.

Host plant for the Io moth.
