Eragrostis spectabilis / Purple Lovegrass


A very pretty low grass of dry edges, and back dunes of coastal regions.

The inflorescence has a hazy purple hue to it, very effective in masses. Excellent for rock gardens and edging.

Deer resistant. Host plant for the Hobomok Skipper and Zabulon Skipper.

Height: 1′ – 2′    Blooms: July – August

Habitat: Dry, sun to part sun
